في إحدى زياراته للسيد البدوي، خرجت بعد الحديث معه من الجامع ولكنها لم تتجه للقرية، بل خرجت مشيًا على الأقدام إلى القاهرة محاطة بالمريدين والمتبركين الذين ظلوا ينظرون إلى بعضهم البعض ولا يفهمون شيئًا ولا يجرؤون على الاعتراض وظلوا سائرين حولها حتى القاهرة.
اهتزت القاهرة من هول هذا المشهد واستيقظت من سباتها العميق.كانت الناس في ميدان التحرير كالنمل، خرجوا إلى هناك والنعاس يراوغ عيونهم. لم تكن هناك سيارة واحدة في الميدان ولم يكن هو ذات الميدان. أصبح الميدان غريبًا حقًا. حديقة هائلة بها كل أنواع الأشجار والنخيل ونباتات الزينة ومعرض متسع لكل شواهد الحضارات عبر التاريخ، تماثيل لبوذا وآلهة الإغريق والمصريين القدماء والفينيقيين والأفارقة، وتحولت جميع الطرقات إلى أنفاق تحت الأرض، لكن أغرب ما كان يمكن أن تراه العين تلك الفرق المختلفة من أجناس البشر وشعوب الدنيا التي كانت ترقص وتغني وتعزف موسيقاها في أرجاء ميدان التحرير.
