كل ليلة قبل النوم أتمدد أسفل النجوم التي لصقتها في سقف حجرتي، أتأملها طوي حتى تلقي لي بحبال أتسلقها إلى أحلامي، ذات يوم قابلت في الأعلى ثلاثة آلهة في شوارع مختلفة من الحلم، سألوني جميعًا عن الأمنية التي أريدها، لكني لم أصدق أنهم سيحققونها، فطلبت منهم نفس الأمنية، لربما يحققها أحدهم، لكني فوجئت في اليوم التالي حين رفعتني النجوم، أن الثلاثة نفذوا رغبتي وصار لي ثلاثة أحبة، قابلني أحدهم داخل بيت جدتي في شربا، ثم قابلني الآخر في فرانكفورت قبل أن يعود بي الثالث إلى أحد المطاعم في المهندسين، خشيت أن يتقابل الثلاثة في مكان واحد ويفتضح أمري، فرفضت الصعود مع النجوم عدة أيام، حتى رسم الليل خطوطًا أسفل عيني، ونزل مندوب من الأعلى
يحذرني إن لم أصعد إليهم سينزلون لي، تخيلت هذا الذي يحب الأكل بنهم، وخشت ألا يتحمل سقف الغرفة وزنه، صعدت معه لكني
ظللت مختبئة في مدخل أحد البيوت، عبرت امرأة وأخبرتني أنه لا يمكنني الوقوف هكذا بدون فعل شيء في الأحلام، لأنه لا توجد لديهم عطلات هناك، سرت قلي ولم أعثر على أحد، فكرت أن أبحث عن الآلهة وألغي رغبتين وأبقي على حبيب واحد، لكني حين سألت عنهم، عرفت أنهم غادروا الأحلام وأخذوا معهم الأمنيات كلها.
