هل نمت حقًا أم أنها هلاوس الأرق؟ في حالتي الآن لا أستطيع حتى التمييز بين الحقيقة والخيال.. اختلط الواقع بالحلم فصنعا مزيجًا كريهًا أحس بمرارته في حلقي.. أزفر من جديد، لماذا لا يتركني هذا الكابوس الكريه لحالي؟ نفس الكابوس بنفس التفاصيل يتكرر كل مرة، كأنما هي رسالة تتكرر حتى أفهمها.. ربما هي رؤيا، ولكن أليست الرؤى للصالحين والأولياء دون غيرهم؟! لست شيطانًا ولكني لست بهذا الصلاح والصلة بالله حتى تأتيني رؤيا.. ربما هو تحذير، ضوء أصفر ينير ساطعًا في وجهي، محذرًا إياي من غضب السماء إذا ما تماديت في انحرافي عن الطريق المستقيم.. أم هو مجرد تنويه عما هو آت لا محالة؟ ربما هي نفي تشعر بعقدة ذنب وتؤرق مضجعي بهذا الكابوس حتى أكفّر عنه، ولكن في كل الحالات، ما الذي فعلت في حياتي لأستحق هذا العقاب؟ أن أحترق حيًا! توقفت لوهله مفتشًا في ذاكرتي، ولكني لم أجد شيئًا يستحق هذا القدر من العقاب.
