تحتوى هذه الرواية على سلسلة من الحكايات الشائقة التى تتصل بحكايات ألف ليلة وليلة وهى حكاية الأميرة وكيف تم عشقها على الوصف ثم حكاية شيخ الجبل والتابوت، والإخوة الثلاثة وكيف فرقت بينهم تصاريف الزمان، ثم حكاية الشيخ وما جرى له مع التوابيت مع ذكر بعض ملوك حمير وعجائب صنعتهم، ثم حكاية مدينة الدبابين - وفيها ذكر صخرة الأحلام- وبيت الأحزان.
