النص الشعري هو بنية داخلية تتمازج فيها لحظة الحلم القادم من قاع الذات مع لحظة الفكر المنفلت من رتابة المألوف حولنا، فكلما كان الشاعر أكثر معرفة كان عالمه الداخلي أكثر عمقاً وأكثر اتساعاً، لهذا يتحرك الشاعر "مصعب الرويشد" بنصه داخلياً بحركة مفعمة بالحياة كي يكون مع الوجود الذي حوله هذه البنية، وهذا يعني أن إنتاج الصورة الشعرية يرجع بشكل عام الى عمل العقل في عتمة اللاوعي.
تحت عنوان (من أنا) يقول الشاعر الرويشد: "الكون يسأل من أنا؟/ روح في الكون تسبح لا تقف/ الكون يسأل من أنا؟/ عقل أنا في الكون يبحث لا يجف/ الكون يسألة من أنا؟ (...).
من هنا نجد الشاعر يمتد بمحاورة الذات كاشفاً عن عمق الهوة بين ذاته المفكرة وبين ذاته اللاواعية والتي تكونت عبر مسيرة حياته، أما الاقتراب من هذا العالم الداخلي وخفاياه فلا يمكن أن يحدث إلا بانزياح الصورة التي تقارب الدلالات الجوهرية التي سوف تؤثر بالإيحاء، لأن الصورة في الشعر تمثل المركز ومنها ينبثق التشكيل الفني في النص الشعري.
يضم الديوان (70) قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "أستقيل"، "النفس الأخير"، "حلمي"، "أنت عالق"، "اختناق"، "حالة الموتى"، "أناي"، "أخوات"، "جدوى الحياة"، "شهوة"، "شاهد"، "رصيف" (...) وقصائد أخرى.
