له سلسلة من الدراسات الوثائقية في مجال تاريخ الخليج والجزيرة العربية، ظهرت تباعاً في مؤلفات عدة منها: "بريطانيا وإمارات الساحل العماني"، "حكومة الهند والإدارة لحكومة الهند في الخليج العربي (1858-1914)"، "نجد في سياسة الخليج العربي (1800-1870)".
وذلك بالإضافة إلى عدد من الأبحاث والدراسات المنشورة في دوريات وإصدارات مختلفة في خلال عمله في جامعات السودان والعالمين العربي الإسلامي، وفي معهد البحوث والدراسات العربية التابع لجامعة الدول العربية ـ القاهرة، الذي تولى فيه أمانة البحث العلمي في قسم التاريخ.
Book Description
بعد طرد المسلمين من الأندلس، أرسلت الدول الأوروبية تباعاً رحّالة إلى الشرق لاستكشاف دروبه التجارية وتقصّي أحواله السياسية والاجتماعية والتعرّف إلى الإسلام، وذلك تمهيداً لحركة الاستعمار.
صنّف هؤلاء الرحالة الذين تخرّج معظمهم في مدارس كهنوتية أو عسكرية كتباً تناولوا فيها أخبار رحلاتهم بشكل يمازج بين الحقيقة والخيال مصوّرين سكانها شعباً متوحشاً فاسداً جنسياً، أدنى ثقافةً وتحضراً.
يخلص هذا الكتاب إلى أنّ أدب الرحلة الغربية قام على أسس صليبية استعمارية عنصرية عُنيت بتوجيه الرأي العام الغربي لتحقيق أهداف وغايات بعيدة عن مصالح المنطقة وشعوبها.
