في مجموعتها الشّعريّة "نصف نافذة" تبدو ريم صلاح الصّالح منشغلة باستحضار الذّات بهمومها الخاصّة، وإعلا قيمة الألم الخاصّ وطرحه كقيمة شعريّة تتصدر أغلب نصوص المجموعة، كما تبدو الشّاعرة تتفنن في كتابة الذّات بعواطفها المشمولة بالحبّ والفرح، إلى غير ذلك من مشاعر خاصّة تعتري الشاعرة بدلالاتها الرمزيّة والنصيّة، وقد استدعت بنية لغويّة متينة، مشحونة بالحنين والماضي والذكريات الآتية من أقصى مكان في المخيّلة. نقرأ للشاعر: "أنا إمرأة/ من ماء.. ونار/ وبقايا شمس أمست تغيب../ عن سقف الحضور!/ أنا إمرأة/ أتعبتها الأعذار/ (...)". وبهذا المعنى تستخدم الشّاعرة مفردات حياتية قريبة من المشهد الحسي، حيث اقتناص الصّور، والحالات الإنسانيّة في توحد بارز بين المعاناة الخاصّة والعامّة "أشعر بتعب العالم،/ هذيانه المستمر في أحلامنا،/ احتدامات غضبة في مقابرنا/ كما لو أنّنا، كل يوم/ ندوس على جراح عالمٍ.. لم يودّ/ أحدًا منّا،/ يستمع لبكائه..! (...)".
تضمّ المجموعة "نصف نافذة" ما يزيد عن الستون قصيدة من الشّعر العربي الحديث، والنّصوص النّثرية، توزعت على قسمين.. القسم الأول بعنوان: إليك على بساط الأرض، والقسم الثاني بعنوان: إلىّ على بساط السماء.
