بدرية البشر روائية وصحفية من السعودية نشرت مجموعة من قصصها القصيرة في عام 1992 تحت عنوان "نهاية اللعبة"، بينما نشرت مجموعات أخرى في 1996 و1999 تحت عنوان مساء الأربعاء وحبة الهال، على الترتيب.
وبدرية أيضا مؤلفة هند والعسكر2005، و"معارك طاش ما طاش" 2007، ويتعامل الكتاب الأخير مع الجدل الذي ثار حول المسلسل الكوميدي السعودي الساخر "طاش ما طاش".
وروايتها الجديدة نرد النساء في 2010.
عملت بدرية في مجال الخدمة الاجتماعية بعد حصولها على البكالوريوس في الدراسات الاجتماعية من جامعة الملك سعود بالرياض.
وبعد العودة إلى جامعة الملك سعود للحصول على الماجستير في الآداب، بدأت التدريس في الجامعة مع العمل بالصحافة في الوقت نفسه حيث بدأت مهنتها الصحافية بكتابة عمود أسبوعي في مجلة اليمامة ثم انتقلت لكتابة عمود يومي في صحيفة الرياض.
في عام 2005، حصلت بدرية على دكتوراه في فلسفة الاجتماع من الجامعة اللبنانية في بيروت، وكانت في ذلك الوقت تكتب أيضا في صحيفة الشرق الأوسط.
وفي عام 2008 عينت في منصبها الحالي كاتبة في صحيفة الحياة.
شاركت بدرية في ندوات القصص القصيرة والتجمعات الثقافية في مختلف أنحاء العالم العربي، مثل "نادي الشارقة للبنات" وفعاليات في النوادي الأدبية في الرياض والمدينة ومسقط.
كما دعيت بدرية إلى الولايات المتحدة لمناقشة وسائل الإعلام الأمريكية ضمن برنامج الزيارات الدولية في يناير 2005.
Book Description
مريم تقصد جنيف بحثاً عن زوجها الذي تركها في الرياض مع ولدين. سلوى تلحق بزوجها السابق بعد أن أجبرها أهلها على الطلاق منه. عناب تقرر أن تعيش لذاتها في جنيف بعد أن تم العتداء عليها ومن ثم تزويجها إلى سائق يمني لم يلبث أن يهجرها.
يلتقين في جنيف ثلاث صديقات، لكل منهن قصتها. لكن تجمهن المعاناة من بؤس زوجي والبحث عن سعادة محتملة.
