أديب وكاتب وصحفي لبناني ولد في بيروت عام 1972.
وله شهادة في الفيزياء من الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت.
كما هو محرر الملحق الفكري والأدبي الأسبوعي "آفاق" في جريدة "الحياة" الصادرة في لندن تضمن كتاب "بيروت39" إحدى كتابات ربيع جابر، وصدر الكتاب بمناسبة بيروت، العاصمة العالميىة للكتاب عام 2009.
واكتب يتضمن إبداعات لأدبء وشعراء تخت سن التاسعة والثلاثين في العالم العربي.
وفي عام 2010 رشح جابر لنيل الجائزة العالمية للرواية العربية على كتابه "أمريكا" الذي اقتبس منه فيلم بذات الاسم.
نال ربيع جابر الجائزة العالمية للرواية العربية لدورة عام 2012 عن روايته "دروز بلغراد"، وأعلن ذلك في أبوظبي يوم 27 مارس 2012.

Book Description
من حروب جبل لبنان، إلى بيروت. حيث عاش يوسف الشيخ ابراهيم خاطر. في تلك المرحلة من الحروب، وفي ظل احتلال ابراهيم باشا المصري لجبل لبنان. نجا من الموت الذي أكل معظم أخوته، وذهب بمساعدة من المرسلين إلى لندن، ومن هناك عاد الى السجن في بلغراد. عبر هذه الرواية يسرد ربيع جابر مرحلة من تاريخ لبنان أسست لما هو عليه هذا البلد اليوم. تقرأ رواية ربيع جابر "يوسف الانجليزي" من أجل المتعة الخالصة: أنها قصة مشوّقة وحزينة يرويها حكواتي بالفطرة... كما يمكن قراءتها مرة تلوَ أخرى كمرجع، كدليل إلى عالم مفقود منذ زمن بعيد، لكنه في النهاية قد لا يكون مفقوداً كما نعتقد" كمال الصليبي
