"""كاللوحة المصنوعة من الدر والفيسفاء والأحجار الكريمة والجواهر الثمينة، كتبت هذه القصة، فحوت على جواهر الأحداث الواقعية وزمرد الفكر ولؤلؤ الإيمان والصدق، وفسيفساء الخيال، ثم رُصَت وصُفَت لتسر القارئين وتؤخذ فائدة التجربة والمغامرة والتاريخ والأدب وإحقاق الحق من الله سبحانه وتعالى..
قد تكون حقيقة وقد تكون نصف حقيقة ونصفها الآخر من ضرب الخيال وقد يغلبها طابع الفكرة الغير واقعية، لكن الأهم في ذلك تلك القواعد التي ستسر العقل وتنير الفكر، فها هي بين يديك أياً كنت من الثقلين أمنتها عقلك وناظريك فاقرأها حتى ترى حقيقتها، فإني أعُطيت أرضاً وشيدت عليها قصراً.."".
- بهذا الاستهلال يبدأ الروائي السعودي محمد عبد الله بن دايل روايته ""لوحة سليمان"" وبعنوان فرعي (صَرْحٌ مّمَرّدٌ مّن قَوارِير) عنوان مؤلف من شطرين اثنين أولاهما ينتمي إلى الحقل المعجمي للفن والثاني ينتمي إلى الحقل المعجمي للدين. الأمر الذي يشكل مفتاحاً مناسباً لولوج الرواية وقراءة أحداثها ورصد حركة الشخصيات فيها وتنقُلها بين حقلي الفن والدين تارة، وعالمي الواقع والغيب تارة أخرى في سعي حثيث لالتقاء هذين العالمين حتى وإن كان على الورق وهو ما نجح في تظهيره الراوي على صعوبة هذه المهمة.
- في عودة إلى التاريخ وبحسب تقرير ""وحدة الاثار والمتاحف"" عن لوحة سليمان أن: تاريخ اللوحة غير معروف ويقال أنها مهداة من نبي الله سليمان بن داوود إلى الملكة بلقيس ملكة سبأ وأن الجن قاموا برسمها وصف الأحجار الكريمة عليها في ذلك التاريخ قبل ثلاثة آلاف سنة تقريباً"".
-وفي الرواية تعرض لوحة فنية أثرية قيّمة للبيع في أثيوبيا وبمبلغ المليونين دولار، لوحة عجيبة ويقال أنها لنبي الله سليمان بن داوود والتي صنعها الجن له؛ فيبادر ""عمر"" الشخصية الرئيسية في الرواية إلى شرائها؛ في مغامرة لا تخلو من مشقة ومخاطر. ولكنه أقبل عليها مع علّمه اليقين أنها ستكلفه الكثير جداً، وبالفعل؛ كاد أن يخسر حياته، وأمواله، وأصدقائه، وكل شيء حتى اللوحة التي ما أن حصل عليها حتى اختفت! فهل كانت اللوحة حقيقة أم سراب؟
- بهذا الخطاب (الفني – الديني – الميتافيزيقي)، قدَّم محمد عبد الله بن دايل نصاً روائياً مشوقاً ومتماسكاً، وأيقظ الإيمان والعودة إلى أسرار القرآن الكريم وعجائب أنبيائه ورسله، فأضاف إلى متعة السرد متعة البحث عن الحقيقة.
