وكذلك أذكر في هذا الكتاب الكوارث والطوام التي تسبب بها عبد الله بن عبد العزيز أثناء فترة حكمه, وقد آثرت أن أوثق في هذا الكتاب مواقفه ونزعاته والأحداث الهامة التي حصلت في عهده سواء عندما كان ولياً للعهد أو بعد أن أصبح ملكاً، كذلك سرد بعض الطرائف والنكت الحقيقية التي حصلت معه من خلال تصريحاته التلفزيونية وتصرفاته, كما يروي الكتاب علاقات عبد الله بن عبد العزيز الخاصة وصداقاته الحميمة مع بعض رفاق دربه المُقربين منه ومع مُستشاريه الخاصين ونبذة مُختصرة عن زوجاته وكذلك أبنائه.
وأتناول أيضاً في هذا الكتاب أهم قرارت عبد الله بن عبد العزيز السياسية والاقتصادية، وكذلك أُعرج على كارثة انهيار سوق الأسهم، باعتبارها أكبر سرقة قرنية عالمية حدثت في العصر الحديث، والتي سُحق بسببها جُل الطبقة الوسطى في المُجتمع «السعودي».
يكشف الكتاب الأوضاع الداخلية في السعودية بلغة وسطية مُبسطة مفهومة للقارئ وأسلوب سلس ولين للجميع بعيداً عن اللغة الخشبية والأسلوب الأدبي الصارم والمُعقد والمنمق.
