Book Description
إن كتاب ابن سلام يعد من المفقودات حتى تم اكتشاف مخطوط سنة 1964م، يحتوي على نص الكتاب أو على الأقل على معظمه. وقد اكتشفه العالم الشيخ سالم بن يعقوب الجربي، في إطار بحثه الموسع عن التراث الإباضي، وكان ذلك في مكتبة البعطور في حومة والغ الواقعة في جزيرة جربة بتونس. وقد مهد الشيخ سالم بن يعقوب لنشر هذا الكتاب، كما اشترك في بعض التحقيقات المتعلقة به. وقد وجد المخطوط اهتماما كبيرا من علماء الإباضية المعاصرين ومنهم، الدكتور الشيخ عمرو خليفة النامي الذي نشر وصفا موجزا للمخطوط لعامة المهتمين. وحسب ما نعرفه عن التراث العربي المحفوظ إلى يومنا هذا فلا يعتبر كتاب ابن سلام أقدم ما كتب عن التأريخ عند الإباضية المغربية فحسب بل هو أقدم مؤلف تاريخي للمغرب الإسلامي بأسره. وعلاوة على ذلك فإن قيمة هذا الكتاب تتمثل في أنه يعتبر من المحاولات الأولى لغير العرب أو بالأحرى لسكان البلاد الأصليين، لوصف أسس الحياة الدينية وللتعريف بتاريخ الإسلام في إطار هذا الدين الجديد وعبر اللغة العربية. لذلك فإن هذا التصنيف من أهم الشواهد على استيعاب البربر للحضارة العربية الإسلامية. وليس هناك أدنى شك في أن ذلك المخطوط يستحق التحقيق العلمي نظرا لأهمية مضمونه ولقدمه فقد كتب بعد عام 273 هـ / 886-887 م.
