لأول وهلة يبدو تعبير ''قبول الآخر'' غريبا عن الأذن ولأسباب سياسية يتسرع كثيرون في تصنيفه في خانة مساعي ''علمنة'' العقل المسلم، والحقيقة التي يكشف عنها التدقيق أن القضية تهم كل من يدين بدين سماوي وأن ما يحيط بها من غموض أو سوء ظن ليس إلا نتيجة للتقاطع مع بعض الأجندات الثقافية القادمة من الخارج وهو واقع لا مفر من الاعتراف به، لكن ''الحكمة ضالة المؤمن'' أينما وجدها فهو أحق بها ومثل هذا التشابه أو حتى الاتفاق لا يعني رفض الدعوة لقبول الآخر، لمجرد صدورها عن غيرنا فديننا يعلمنا أن ''نعرف الرجال بالحق'' لا أن نعرف الحق بالرجال، بل المعيار عند التقييم ينبغي أن يكون معيارا شرعيا في المقام الأول وإنسانيا في المقام الثاني منضبطا بما أحله الله وبما حرمه. وقبل الولوج إلى مناقشة قضية ''ثقافة قبول الآخر'' نلزم أنفسنا بقيد نراه موضوعيا هو ألا نناقش المفهوم تحت وطأة مشاعر محتقنة فالمثقف رائد وكما علمنا الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم فإن ''الرائد لا يكذب أهله''، ولا يجوز أن ينطق بما لا يراه حقا خوفا من ''الناس'' فالمجتهد أيا كان مجال اجتهاده لا يجوز أن يخاف أحدا إلا الله.
