لقد أحسن المؤلف طرح إشكالية النهوض، واستدعاءها للتفكر والمثاقفة، حيث اعتبر تحرير بيت المقدس هو ثمرة لمشروع نهوض كامل، وحاول أن يستصحب بعض الرؤى النقدية، لكن يبقى المطلوب : كيف نستطيع أن نتقدم خطوة وأن نوظف هذه الرؤى ونحولها إلى برامج وخطط لتصبح دليل عمل؟ لا شك أن القدس كانت ولا تزال محور الصراع العالمي، فهي ارض النبوات جميعا، منذ فجر التاريخ وقبلة الأنبياء وأتباعهم لقد كانت المحرك للجيوش والتضحيات منذ أقدم العصور، ولا تزال قضية قابيل وهابيل التي أشار إليها القرآن تتكرر وتدور على أرضها. ولعل مما يلفت ان الله بعد أن قص قصة ابني آدم منذ النشأة الأولى، وبين نزوع الإنسان إلى الفساد وسفك الدماء شرع عقوبة الردع، ولم يوكل الناس إلى ضمائرهم، وكان بنو إسرائيل هم وسيلة الإيضاح، فالفساد ما يزال ساريا في عروق المحتلين. ولعلنا نقول إن الفترة الوحيدة التي نعمت فيها القدس بالسلم والأمن والحرية على مستوى عالمي ولأبناء الأديان جميعا هي فترة الحكم الإسلامي، حيث شعار: ((لا إكراه)).
