لو اجتمع أشهر وأعظم كتاب ومخرجي مسرح اللامعقول على مر التاريخ وقرروا كتابة عمل مسرحي يتخذ من الوطن العربي مكانا لأحداثه، ومن حكامه وشعوبه شخوصا لأبطاله لن يذهب بهم الخيال إلى مستوى غرائب وعجائب الوقائع التي شهدها العالم منذ بدء ثورات ما يسمى بالربيع العربي. فما كان لأحد أن يتصور الرئيس التونسي زين العابدين بن علي وهو يهرب من ثورة شعبه تحت جنح الظلام هائما على وجهه في سماوات العالم يتسول دولة تستقبله، وما كان لأحد أن يتخيل ثورة الشعب المصري على رئيسه حسني مبارك والإتيان به وهو ممدد على سرير المرض في محاكمة علنية والأضواء الكاشفة المنبعثة من عدسات الفضائيات مسلطة عليه تنقل الحدث إلى أرجاء الدنيا على الهواء مباشرة، ومهما أطلق أي إنسان لخياله العنان ما كان له أن يتخيل ما جرى للزعيم الليبي معمر القذافي على أيدي الثوار حين ألقوا القبض عليه في إحدى مواسير المياه فأشبعوه ضربا، وقتلوه ومثلوا بجثته، وفي اليمن قام الثوار بشيء أو سلق رئيسهم علي عبد الله صالح، وظهر في وسائل الإعلام ملفوفا بالشاش والقطن الطبي الأبيض في منظر فيه من الضحك والفكاهة بقدر ما فيه من السخرية والبلاهة. أثناء كل هذه الأحداث كان الإعلام بكل وسائله الجديدة ممثلة في الانترنت والموبايل، والتقليدية المتجددة ممثلة في الإذاعة والتليفزيون والصحافة لاعبا أساسيا، مؤثرا ومتأثرا، إذ تسمر الناس أمامه يتابعون آلاف الأخبار فيحللون مضامينها، ويحدقون في الصور يتفرسون تفاصيلها، ويقيمون الآراء ووجهات النظر المتطابقة والمتناقضة حول حقيقة وتفاصيلها ويقيمون الآراء ووجهات النظر المتطابقة والمتناقضة حول حقيقة وتفاصيل ما يجري، ودوافعه وتداعياته.
