إنني شخص يهتم بمظهره الخارجي كثيران فأنا أحب استخدام العطور من نوع برادا وغوتشيه، وأحب إجراء جلسات لتدليك وجهي وتقليم أظافري، كما أقوم بتقشير وجهي وترطيبه، وأعرف اللون الرائج لهذا الموسم، وأعلم تماما أنكم لا تقومون بثني بنطال المخمل المضلع أو مزج المقلم مع المنقط، إني أقص شعري لدى مصفف شعر وليس عند حلاق، وتتجاوز فاتورة تنظيف ملابسي الناتج الوطني الإجمالي لعدة بلدان صغيرة. ربما ستقولون: إنني مثال الرجل الذي يهتم بمظهره الخارجي، إلا أنني لست كذلك فقط، فأنا معلق رياضي محترف أيضا. أقوم بتغطية المباريات الرياضية منذ ستة عشر عاما، حيث شاركت في تغطية البطولات التي شاركت فيها الفرق التي لعبت مايكل جوردان لصالحها، وأجريت مقابلات مع وين غريتزكي ومع روجر كليمنس و جو مونتانا، وشاركت أيضا في تغطية مباريات الـ سوبر بولز – وهي مباريات لكرة القدم تجري سنويا لتحديد أفضل الفرق في أمريكا- و وورلد سيريز وهي المباريات النهائية التي تجري سنويا لتحديد أفضل الفرق في البيسبول و أوول ستار غيمز وهي مباريات تجمع العديد من النجوم وفاينال فورز وهي مباريات تجمع أربع فرق في المباريات الختامية..... هذا مظهري لا شخصيتي، فأنا مثلكم تماما، شخص لديه عائلة والكثير من المسؤوليات، والكثير من القلق، ووضعي مقدما لواحد من أفضل البرامج الرياضية الحوارية الصباحية في أمريكا لا يبدد قلقي بل على العكس يشكل سببا في وجوده، إن استماع ملايين الناس إلي كل يوم لا يعني ان حياتي سهلة، وأن الناس يعاملونني بشكل مختلف عنكم، حتى لو فرضنا جدلا أنهم يعاملونكم كحمقى، فلا فائدة منهم. تلك هي النقطة الأساسية، فنحن متشابهون على الغالب، إذ إننا نعمل كثيرا، ونضحك بصوت مرتفع وننام قليلا ونأكل كثيرا ونفعل ما بوسعنا لجعل حياتنا متوازنة إذ ننتقل بسرعة من اللقاءات لنشق طريقنا إلى مباريات كرة القدم، ونسافر ليلا لحضور حصص الموسيقى يوم السبت، ونخضع لجلسات معالجة لآلام الظهر كلما كبرنا قليلا، وأحيانا نشعر أن الحياة كالقطار الذي نحاول اللحاق به، إلا أن ذلك القطار قد يفوتنا في بعض الأحيان.
