خطرات الليل وعبرات المساء - تلك التي لاحت في أفق نفس طاهرة حتى شاهدتها جلية بين النجوم الطوالع والكواكب السيارة، فجاشت بها النفس إلى أن جادت بأروع العبارات وشوارد المعاني، رفدتها موهبة خصبة، وقريحة معطاءة، وقلم مطواع، وبيان سائغ حالم بين المنثور والمسجوع من الكلام الرصين، الداعي إلى مكارم الأخلاق، وتهذيب النفس من درن الإحن والبعد عن الله، بتطهيرها مما قد يثور بخلجاتها من خفقات القلب ونوازع الفؤاد الذي أضناه السهر للدنيا فعشق تلك العجوز الشمطاء التي غرَّت بخداع مظهرها فأَخْفَتْ وراءها كل مبكية حتى تركت جروحا غائرة في قلوب عاشقيها. بسلاسة أسلوب ورقة طبع خرجت هذه المعاني النبيلة من هذه الموهبة الفياضة لتشارك أهل الإشارة في جمال الأسلوب، ونظيف العبارات، وشريف المعاني، وروعة البيان. فهو عنوان للحياة المستقيمة، والنفس السوية بما حمله من موضوعات تغزو القلوب، وتشحذ العقول، وتهذب المشاعر، وتثري الخاطر، بتألقها في حجة البداهة، ووجازة العبارة، وحسن الطرافة التي تبعث على رسم بسمة طَلِيَّة على شفاه القارئ الكريم، وتسكب الطمأنينة والراحة في قلبه، والإعجاب والقناعة في قرارة نفسه، ورقي المشاعر في أعماق ضميرة.
