فقد كنت قد كتبت سلسلة مقالات في مجلة البيان قبل عشر سنوات من هذا العام (1429هـ - 2008م)، بمناسبة مرور خمسين عاما آنذاك على بداية ما كان يسمى بـ (الصراع العربي الإسرائيلي)، وكان ذلك تحت عنوان (خمسون عاما من الفشل)، رصدت في تلك السلسلة باختصار مراحل ذلك الصراع الذي فرض على أمتنا قسرا وقهرا، دون أن يكون لها من القيادات أو الرايات أو الاستعدادات ما يناسب مثل تلك الصراعات المصيرية؛ حيث إن ذلك الصراع كان يحتاج منذ بدايته إلى من يفهم طبيعة المعركة وطبيعة العدو الذي يديرها، وطبيعة الحلف الذي يقف خلفه، فيتعامل معهم على أساس الفهم الصحيح لتلك الطبائع.... وقد جرت محاولات علمانية لتعميم هذا الاستسلام على الأمة كلها، على صورة '' تطبيع للعلاقات'' مع ذلك العدو، يراد من خلاله أن تعامل الشعوب العربية والإسلامية ذلك العدو معاملة طبيعية مع بقاء عداوته وتصاعدها، وهي معاملة يمكن ان تقنعه فعلا أن '' الشعب المختار '' الذي تنبغي مصادقته مهما تجبر أو تكبر !؟ إن ''علمانية المعركة'' كانت هي الشعار المرفوع من طرف العرب في السر والعلن، وبواقع الحال إن لم يكن بلسان المقال، والمسوغ المعلن في ذلك كان ولا يزال: حرمان العدو من تحويل الصراع إلى صراع ديني !!
