سعيد الأفغاني ( 1327هـ - 1417هـ = 1909م - 1997م)
سعيد بن محمد بن أحمد الأفغاني كاتب عربي اشتهر بالنحو وفقيه ظاهري , ولد عام 1909م بمدينة دمشق جاء والده لسوريا مهاجرا من كشمير وتزوج من دمشقية, تيتم وهو صغير وتعلم في مدارس دمشق ثم انتسب لمدرسة الأدب العليا فيها وتخرج منها فعين في سلك التعليم.
انتدب للتدريس في المعهد العالي للمعلمين فكلية الآداب لاحقا، ثم أصبح رأيسآ لقسم اللغة العربية فيها ثم أصبح عميدا لها حيث يعد من مؤسيسيها.
انتخب عضواً في مجمع اللغة العربية في القاهرة و مجمع اللغة العربية في بغداد.
بعد إحالته على التقاعد درس في جامعات لبنان وليبيا والسعودية والأردن, ثم عاد إلى دمشق فانكب على المطالعة والكتابة حتى آخر عمره حيث توفى سنة 1997م وهو في مكة المكرمة ودفن بها.
