مصر وبلاد المغرب العربي، امتداد طبيعي وعضوي، الصلة بينهما ممتدة منذ أقدم العصور، وحتى يومنا هذا، ومن هنا كان الوجود المغربي في مصر، والمنتمي إلى معظم المدن والقرى المغربية، المتناثرة في كل البقاع المغربية، من المحيط الأطلنطي غربا، والبحر المتوسط شمالا، إلى أقصى امتداد للمغرب العربي جنوبا. وقد لقي هذا الوجود المغربي في مصر، الترحيب، وافساح المجال أمامه ليمارس حياته ونشاطه بحرية تامة، والارتباط بمصر ومجتمعها كيفما شاء له الارتباط. كما أن كثيرا من أبناء مصر وقبائلها انساحوا غربا إلى بلدان المغرب ليعيشوا هناك، ويمارسوا حياتهم فيها لفترات، ثم يعودون إلى مصرهم مرة ثانية. فكان الاتصال مع استمراره، متبادلا. وقد فضل كثير من المغاربة الذين أموا مصر، البقاء فيها، والانتماء إليها، انتماء أبديا، وأصبحت مصر وطنا ثانيا لهم.
