العقل والمعايير .. مصطلح العقل الناظم, والعقل المنظوم، أو العقل المكوِن والعقل المكوَن، إذا كان العقل المكوَّن هو: تلك المنظومة العامة من القواعد المشكلة والحقائق المقررة التي لا تعبر في كل آن مهما تكن ثمينة، إلا عن مقتضى الحضارة البعيد عن أن لا يكون كاملا، فإن تعريف المكوِّن هو: منظومة المباديء المقررة والمُصاغة التي لا تتغير إلا ببطء شديد بحيث يمكن اعتبارها، من منظور الأفراد وظروف الحياة بمثابة حقائق أبدية. ويميِّز لالاند في ما يُسمَّى عادة باسم العقل أمرين، الأول هو جملة قواعد يمكن صياغتها، وهي التي سعى الفلاسفة إلى تبيانها وحصرها وإيضاح أصلها وإظهار عملها، وهو هذا النشاط المحدد الذي يقوم به الفكر عندما يعرب الفكر عن ذاته في تلك القواعد، غير أن العقل يتجاوز هذه القواعد باستمرار، يتجاوزها دوما، وقد اقترح علاَّمتنا إطلاق اسم (العقل المكوَّن) أو المنظوم على المنحى الأول، أي على القواعد والمبادئ العقلية، واسم (العقل المكوِّن) أو الناظم على فاعلية العقل الدائبة المتجاوزة لكل جاهز راهن.
