كنت أبحث كقارئ عادى عن كتاب فى مكتبتنا العربية يتحدث ويناقش التاريخ الأمريكى ولكن بعثورى على هذا الكتاب لم أعثر على ضالتى فحسب وإنما على أكثر مما أتمناه قهو يتحدث عن التاريخ الأمريكى بدءا من العثور على الأمريكيين يدرسه حتى يصل به إلى مرحلة الدولة الأمريكية وهو على الرغم من قصر عمره( فهو يتعدى مئتين عام ولكن تلك المئتين لا تعنى عمرا له وزن فى حياة الشعوب) إلا أنه حافل بالصراعات والتحولات والعزلة والانفتاح فيدرس علاقة الدولة الأمريكية بالقارةالأوروبية وأيضا تحولها من العزلة والسلبية التى أحاطت بها إلى الإيجابية النسبية نحول العالم العربى وقضايا مثل القضية الفلسطينية - السورية - اللبنانية كما يتناول ايضا بالدراسة العلاقات المصرية الأمريكية وبهذا يكون تتناول أوربا ولاشرق الأوسط والدول الآسيوية مثل إيران وتركيا وغيرهم فهو حقا يتحدث عن .. أمريكا والعالم.
