يتكلم الكتاب عن شخص النبي يعقوب (عليه السلام) من خلال الكتب المقدسة وهي التوراة والانجيل والقران الكريم ويتم مقارنة ماورد عن هذا النبي تحديدا في العهد القديم مع القران الكريم الذي اعطى الانبياء استحقاقهم كقدوات وليس كبشر يرتكب المعاصي كما صورهم العهد القديم
كما يتحدث الكتاب عن بعض اللمحات القرآنية عن هذا النبي ومنها ماجاء في قوله سبحانه ( وَقَالَ يَا بَنِيَّ لاَ تَدْخُلُواْ مِن بَابٍ وَاحِدٍ وَادْخُلُواْ مِنْ أَبْوَابٍ مُّتَفَرِّقَةٍ)
