هذا الكتاب يشكل صوت النذير، إنه يرصد مظاهر العولمة ومحاولتها هيمنة الأقوى على المجالات الاقتصادية والثقافية والسياسية والاجتماعية ..الخ، ويتتبع آثارها الخطيرة على الأمة المسلمة في أخطر المواقع وأشدها تأثيرا وخطورة: مجال التربية؛ لأن الذي يتحكم بالبعد التربوي ويهيمن على وسائل التشكيل الثقافي هو الذي يمتلك مفاتيح التحكم في المستقبل. إنه يقدم بصائر ورؤى للتحديات والمخاطر، التي تحملها حقبة العولمة، ويحاول أن يستنفر الطاقات للمدافعة؛ فاستشعار التحدي يجمع الطاقة، ويبعث الهمة، ويثير الفاعلية ويجدد شباب الأمة. ولتجربة المسلم الحضارية التاريخية من الصمود والمجاهدة لكثير من التحديات العالمية، التي جاءت ماحقة ومدمرة، كالحروب الصليبية وحروب التتار وأنواع وألوان الاستعمار الحديث وأنظمة ما بعد الاستعمار ما يشكل له رصيدا عظيما من الصمود والمدافعة والحوار والمواجهة واستيعاب هذه التحديات وتحويلها لصالح الإسلام والمسلمين. فلئن جاءت العولمة بكل سلطانها وتقنياتها وضغوطها لرفع الحواجز الجمركية وتحرير التجارة العالمية من القيود لإغراق الأسواق بمنتجاتها واحتلال العقول، بعد الأسواق، بثقافتها وإعادة إنتاج أجيال على عينها، فإن رصيد المسلم يؤهله لاستيعاب ذلك كله وامتلاك القدرة على التعامل معه، واغتنام فرصته وتوظيف تحدياته لمزيد من الوعي واليقظة والعكوف على الذات واكتشاف طاقاتها وخيرات حضارتها وتاريخها، وتقديم الإسلام إلى العالم كما أنزله الله لا كما شوهه بعض الجهلة وأعداء الإسلام فالعولمة فرص وتحديات، كيف نتعامل معها فنفيد من فرصها ونتجاوز تحدياتها؟
