من نشر دار خيال للنشر والترجمة، ومركز الأبحاث والدراسات المتقدمة. الكتاب يسلّط الضوء على حقبةٍ مُهمّة من التاريخ لا سيما إبّان العصر الوسيط، وهذا في أوجِ عُنفوان السلطة الباباوية، التي دارت أحداثه في كلّ أرجاء أوروبا وبالخصوص في إسبانيا، وهذا بعد سُقُوط دولة الأندلس، وبعد أن احتفظت محاكم التفتيش لوقتٍ طويل بكُلّ السرّ الذي كان يُحيطُ بها وبإجراءاتها، وكانت من المحظُورات مِثْلَ ما كان ضحاياها مُهْمَلِينَ ومَنسيِّينَ في صفحات التاريخ، إلاّ أنّ معالمها المرسومة باللون الأكثر قتامةً تتكشّفُ للعيان في طيات الكتاب الحالي، حيث قَدًّمَ الجواب المُفصّل عن فكرة الاضطهاد الذي جسّده ذلك الجهاز، المسمّى محاكم التفتيش، والذي كان وَصْمَةَ عارٍ في جبين الإنسانية ككُل والمسيحية على وجه الخصوص.
