كتاب يأتي ضمن سلسلة تراث الفيوم التي يقوم الكاتب وتأليفها ونشرها، الكتاب يتوقف مداه الزمني عند ثورة 1952 ويتناول ملامح النضال الوطني لشخصية حمد باشا الباسل( 1870ــ1940)، واتجاهاته الاجتماعية والأدبية والقومية، فيوثق لمرحلة دقيقة من التراث المصري الحديث، فيتناول الباب الأول دراسة لشخصية حمد الباسل باشا، ويسجل مذكراته الشخصية، وعلاقته بالأدباء والمبدعين، ويختتم بفصل عن وفاة حمد الباسل باشا وصداها المصري والعربي، أما الباب الثاني فإنه يحتوي دراسة للشخصيات التي عاصرت حمد الباسل من آل الباسل، فيتوقف الفصل الأول منها عند شخصية عبد الستار الباسل بك، أما الفصل الثاني فإنه دراسة لشخصية محمد بك حمد الباسل، بينما الفصل الثالث يتناول دراسة لشخصيات أخرى من آل الباسل عاصرت حمد باشا، ثم خاتمة للدراسة، أما الجزء الثاني من الكتاب فإنه ملاحق الدراسة، الملحق الأول هو ملحق الصور الفوتوغرافية، أما الملحق الثاني فهو ملحق الشعر، ويتناول شعر الفصحى وشعر العامية وشعر اللهجة البدوية، ثم ملحق الوثائق والمنشورات التاريخية، ثم ملاحق أخرى عن علاقة حمد الباسل بالصحافة المصرية منذ مطلع شبابه، وملحق أخير عن شخصية ملك حفني ناصف باحثة البادية، كتاب نافع مفيد، أتمنى لك قراءة ممتعة.
