ليست الحكايات دائمًا عن البشر، ولا تبدأ كلها بصوت واضح أو حدث صاخب. هناك أشياء صغيرة، صامتة، تعيش على الهامش، تراقب مرورنا دون أن نلتفت، وتحتفظ بآثارنا دون أن نسألها عما تشعر به... أشياء لا ننتبه لوجودها إلا حين تختفي، ولا نفكر في معناها إلا حين نفقدها. في هذه المجموعة، لا تكون الأشياء مجرد تفاصيل عابرة، بل تتحول إلى كائنات تحمل ذاكرة، وقلقًا، وانتظارًا طويلًا. كرسي يختبر معنى الغياب أكثر من الحضور، رسالة تتآكل حروفها وهي تنتظر أن تُقرأ، مصباح شارع يضيء ليل الآخرين دون أن يعرف إن كان أحد يراه، وغرفة مغلقة تحرس ما تبقى من أصواتٍ لم تعد تعود.. النصوص تمنح التفاصيل الصغيرة مساحة لتقول ما عجز عنه الكلام المباشر. هي ليست قصصًا تُحكى بقدر ما هي حالات تُعاش، وأسئلة مفتوحة لا تسعى لإجابات نهائية، بل تدعو القارئ إلى الاقتراب ... ثم التورط في المعنى. كل نص هو محاولة لفهم ما لا يُفهم بسهولة: كيف يمكن لشيءٍ بلا روح أن يحمل كل هذا الثقل من الشعور؟، وكيف يمكن لنا، نحن الممتلئين بالكلام، أن نعجز أحيانًا عن قول ما تقوله الأشياء بصمتها؟ «أشياء تبحث عن معنى» ليست عن الأشياء وحدها ... بل عنا أيضًا، حين نصبح، في لحظة ما، مجرد أشياء تنتظر أن يفهمها أحد.
