أن دراسة الشخصيات التي كان لها أثرا بارزا في قيادة البلدان التي كمتها تعد واحده من الموضوعات المهمة التي ركزت عليها الدراسات التاريخية لما تركته هذه التنضيمات من أثرا بارز في تاريخ بلدانها، وهكذا كان للملك محمد الخامس الذي تولى الحكم في المغرب الأقصى للمدة من (١٩٢٧-١٩٦١) أثره الواضح في قيادة هذه البلاد وتحقيق استقلالها بعد أن فرضت عليها الحماية الفرنسية عام ۱۹۱۲، اذ تمكن وبعد فهمه للاهداف الاستعمارية التي كان فرنسا تسعى الى تحقيقها من وراء سيطرتها على مقدرات بلدان المغرب العربي اعتمدت هذه الدراسة التي هي في الأصل رسالة ماجستير أجيزت بدرجة ((امتياز)) على العديد من الوثائق التأريخية والكتب الوثائقية، وبالتالي خرجت بنتائج مهمة في التاريخ المغربي بصورة خاصة والتاريخ الحديث والمعاصر بصورة عامة
