هذه الرواية ليست حكايةً عن الموت كما قد يوحي العنوان، بل عن ما يحدث بعدهُ، عن أثرٍ يبقى، وعن وعيٍ يولد، وعن أسئلة لا تظهر إلا حين نفقد شيئًا عزيزًا.
«بعد أن ماتت» تحكي عن إنسانٍ كان يظن أن المشكلة في القيود، ثم اكتشف متأخرًا أن المشكلة أحيانًا تكون في الطريق، وفي الفهم،
وفي التوقيت.
هي رواية عن الأحلام، لكن ليس كل الأحلام.
عن تلك الأحلام التي نتمسك بها بشدة، دون أن نسأل أنفسنا:
هل تُشبهنا؟
هل تليق بنا؟
وهل ستقودنا فعلًا إلى السلام؟
هذه الرواية لا تقول: توقّفوا عن الحلم،
بل تقول: احلموا، لكن بوعي.
اسعوا، اجتهدوا، أنجزوا، لكن لا تنسوا من أنتم، ولا تتجاوزوا أنفسكم وأنتم تظنون أنكم تتقدّمون.
في النهاية، أعظم إنجاز ليس أن نصل فقط، بل أن نصل دون أن نخسر أنفسنا في الطريق.
