رواية درامية اجتماعية
تدور أحداث الرواية حول أسرة مضطربة مكوّنة من أربع بنات وولد، تعيش داخل بيتٍ امتلأ بالصراعات وافتقد الأمان. تمرّ ندى، بطلة الرواية، برحلة قاسية من الخذلان تبدأ من أقرب الناس إليها، فتتآكل ثقتها بالعالم وتتشقق روحها تحت وطأة الألم.
ليست الحكاية حكاية انتقام، بل قصة قلبٍ أُطفئ نوره، وأُغلق على جراحه بعدما أنهكته الخيبات؛ فبعض الجراح لا تُشفى، وبعض القلوب تتعب حتى تعجز عن الغفران.

*لِماذا كُتب علينا أن ندفع ثمن خطايا لم نقترفها؟
لِماذا نُدانُ على ذنوبٍ لم نقترفها، وكأننا خُلقنا فداءً لذنوب الآخرين؟
هل جريمتُنا أننا نملك قلبًا نابضًا وسط غابةٍ لا تعرف غير الزيف؟
أم أن خطيئتنا الكبرى أننا تشبّثنا بإنسانيتنا، في زمنٍ افترست فيه الوحوش كل ما هو نقي؟

*كبرت وهي تعاني غياب أبيها، سفره الدائم، كان فراغًا مستمرًا في يومها، وغياب أمها موتًا دائمًا في ليلها؛ تبحث عن الحب في أعين المارة، عن الأمان في كلمات العابرين، لكنها لم تجد إلا صدى قلبها يعود إليها باكيًا. عاشت عمرها تبحث عن الحب بين عجاف القلوب كمن يبحث عن السلام في ميادين الحرب!
