في عالمٍ تطغى عليه الفوضى النفسية، والغربة الداخلية، تسير روايتنا كأنها مرآة مكسورة تعكس روحًا مشروخة، تتأرجح بين "داني" و"ليوناردو".
شخصيتان، متشابكتان بشكلٍ يتجاوز الجسد والوعي، تتصارعان في الخفاء… إحداهما تحاول النجاة، والأخرى تسعى للتحرر.
داني، الإنسان الذي وُجد ليتألم، يتصارع مع نسخة أكثر هدوءًا منه، أكثر عقلانية… لكنها ليست أكثر حياة.
ليوناردو، يحمل عبء الذكريات، ويخوض صراعات داخلية عميقة، يحاول إنقاذ داني من نفسه، وفي النهاية يكتشف أن ما يحتاجه ليس الإنقاذ… بل النهاية.
الرواية ليست قصة عادية عن شخصين.
إنها رحلة داخلية، في دهاليز الذنب، والخذلان، والأسى، تبحث عن معنى، أو غاية، أو حتى صمتٍ حقيقي.
وبين اختفاء داني، وتلاشي ليوناردو، تبقى إلينا الشاهدة الوحيدة على أن كل شيء مضى… وأن دفتر الملاحظات ما زال ينبض بما لم يُقل.
