Book طبقات الفرضيين لأبي حامد الجهني (المجلد الثاني) .
عيسى بن حامد بن عايش الحمدي الجهني المكنى ب «أبي حامد الجهني»، ولد بمحافظة أملج التي تُعرف قديمًا بـ الحوراء، وذلك في عام (1404هـ).
بدأ طلب العلم على يد مشايخ بلدته، ثم ارتحل في سبيل تحصيله إلى عدة أمصار؛ فتنقل بين القصيم، ثم المدينة المنورة، ثم مكة المكرمة، ثم توجه إلى مصر، ومنها إلى بلاد الشام، ثم المغرب و تونس، فأخذ عن جمعٍ من العلماء في تلك البلاد، منهم من اختص بالرواية، ومنهم من اختص بالدراية، ومنهم من جمع بينهما.
وقد كان اهتمامه الأكبر بعلم الفرائض، فاعتنى به عناية خاصة، وألف فيه عدة مؤلفات، جمعها ورتبها في موسوعة علمية أسماها: «موسوعة المواريث»، لتكون مرجعًا جامعًا في هذا العلم الشريف.
