إنها أيلول يا كون، أجل، إنها أنا يا مجرات. وُلدت اليوم، ووهبني الله حياةً سَأحيَاها بمرّها وحلوها. هذه أنا، فتاة بيضاء بعيون عسليّة أخذتها من والدتي، وشعري الأشقر المموج الذي ورثته من والدي، وشفتاي الوردية وحُمرة خدودي وطموحي وأحلامي. وُلدت معي من رحم أمي، نفخ الحب والسعادة في رحمها أيضاً. تغذيت على الحنية من يد أبي عندما كان يمسح على بطن أمي ليكلمني. كنتُ أسمعك يا حبيبي، وأنا كبرت على هذا الحنان الذي سقتني إياه أمي عندما كانت تستيقظ باكرًا لتودع أبي بقُبلة قبل خروجه للعمل. رغم أنني كنت أترنّح في بطنها وأوجعها بركلاتي وضرباتي، إلا أنها لا تكترث ولا تجعل أبي يلاحظ ألمها، فقط لكي لا يشغل باله طيلة النهار بألمها.
