مقدمة:
جزيرة الكنز رواية مغامرات للكاتب الاسكتلندي روبرت لويس ستيفنسون، تروي قصة "قراصنة وذهب مدفون". نُشرت لأول مرة ككتاب في 23 مايو 1883، ونُشرت في البداية على شكل حلقات في مجلة الأطفال "يونغ فولكس" بين عامي 1881 و1882 بعنوان "جزيرة الكنز"، أو تمرد الهيسبانيولا، حيث اتخذ ستيفنسون اسم الكابتن جورج نورث المستعار. تُعتبر "جزيرة الكنز" تقليديًا قصة عن بلوغ سن الرشد، وهي قصة تشتهر بأجوائها وشخصياتها وأحداثها، بالإضافة إلى كونها تعليقًا ساخرًا على غموض الأخلاق - كما هو الحال في "لونغ جون سيلفر" - وهو أمر غير مألوف في أدب الأطفال.
