تأخذنا الرواية عبر رحلة عاصفة من الخيانة المؤلمة (من صديقتها هند ومن راشد)، واستنزاف الذات بالإدمان وإيذاء النفس، ومحاولات انتحارٍ فاقدةٍ للأمل. ثم تتلمّس ليان طريقها نحو استعادة الحياة في مصحّةٍ نفسية، حيث يضيء بريق الشفاء أولى خطواتها على يد الدكتور سامي، وتلتقي بصديقةٍ جديدة (ريم) تمنحها نافذةً على الحياة
