اعتنى العلماءُ المتقدمون والمتأخرون عناية فائقة باللغةِ العربيةِ عامةً، وبعلمِ النحو على وجهِ خاصة؛ ذلك لحاجةِ المتعلمين إليه واللجوءِ إلى مؤلفاتِهِ عند الزللِ، وكلُّ مَنْ ألَّفَ في هذا العلمِ وتبحَّرَ فيه ما هو إلَّا خدمةٌ للكتابِ العزيز.
يعدُّ كتابُ (منظومةُ الآجُّرُومِيَّة) مِنْ أَشهرِ المتونِ التي لا غنى لطالبِ علمِ النحو مِنْ أَنْ ينظرَ فيه، وهو متن نفيسٌ مفيدٌ جامعٌ، اعْتُنِي به لعظيمِ فائدتِهِ للناسِ؛ لِمَا حواه مِنْ المسائلِ النحويةِ النافعةِ، والفوائدِ العظيمةِ التي سطَّرها الشارحُ - رحمَهُ الله تعالى -.
