بعد بحث دقيق في أرشيف البطريركية المارونية في بكركي، تم استخراج وثيقة مهمة تفتح الباب لدراسة التنوع الديني والطائفي في قضاء الشوف في سنة 1911. يُقدم الكتاب تحليلًا علميًا للوثيقة مستعينًا بجداول ورسومات بيانية، مما يسمح بدراسة مُعمّقة للتركيبة السكانية التي ضمّت المسلمين (الدروز، والسنة والشيعة) والمسيحيين (الموارنة، والأرثوذكس، والكاثوليك، والبروتستانت) بالإضافة إلى اليهود. يقدّم هذا البحث مساهمة فكرية في فهم التنوع الديني والطائفي في لبنان.
