هذه الرواية هي لكل من غيرته مآسيه، فلم يعد يألف إبتسامته، ويعتبر النظر الى صوره القديمة سببًا لأذى نفسي شديد، وتبعثرت ذكرياته فما عاد يذكر تسلسلها، وضل حبيس جسده، بروح ليست له، وحاول مرارًا وتكرارًا العودة، واسترداد ما كان له، ولم يستطع…الى أن يصل به الحال أن يحاور نفسه قائلا بيئس وبأنفاس مجهدة، حسنًا … لابد أن الله قدر لي ذلك كي أكون ما أنا عليه الآن ، لربما … هذا أفضل لي
