إنَّنا في الحديث عن مثل هذه الشخصيات، نتجاوز التعبير عن التقديس والمحبة؛ إلى عملية تبشير ودعوة لما تمثِّله حياتهم وسلوكهم وسيرتهم من فضائل، وتعابير عن قيم الدين والانتماء إلى الحقيقة.
فإنَّ في الحديث عن الصالحين حديثاً عن الصلاح ودعوة إليه، وسعينا في التعرّف إليهم إنَّما هو تعبير عن حاجتنا إلى التعرّف إلى الدين والفضائل الدينية التي تجسَّدت من خلال أقوالهم وأفعالهم وللرجوع إليهم والاقتداء بهم في أمور الدين، فلقد حمل الأنبياء رسالة دعوة الناس إلى التوحيد والحق والالتزام بالحقيقة، وكل معاني الخير والصلاح والاستقامة، وكان في نهج حياتهم وسلوكهم تطبيق حَيّ وتجسيد لما يدعون إليه.
