Hozifa Mohammed Edrees Almahdi was born in Sudan, Jazira State, on June 6, 1998. He graduated from Nelain University with a degree in English Language and Literature from the Faculty of Arts. Hozifa has written several literary works, including his novel *A Picnic on the River Nile*. Among his short stories is *A Moment on the Train*, and he also authored *The Way to the Dream*. In addition to these works, he has contributed numerous critical literary pieces, showcasing his passion for literature and dedication to exploring cultural themes.

Their lives are disrupted by the separation of Sudan, forcing Tom to move to the South with his family, leaving Duaa behind. The novel explores Tom's challenges in adapting to a new life while maintaining a deep emotional connection with Duaa through messages. Their love symbolizes hope and resilience amidst adversity, ultimately conveying a message of unity between North and South Sudan, advocating for understanding and coexistence despite cultural differences.
