ABSTRACT

There is consensus among scholars that translation is a versatile field of expertise. This confirms that it is a science and an art at the same time.

Translation is a very important communication tool for those who cannot understand each other because the languages they speak are different. As a natural result of surprising developments in technology, the interaction of people from different languages and cultures with each other due to the speed in tourism, trade, education and health has increased this need and has resulted in the spread of translation activities in recent years.

Today, employ a translator has become a must in many private and public organizations. There is a great need for sworn translators to translate documents, as well as for translators who use diplomatic terms well to help high-ranking politicians and statesmen who do not speak foreign languages. Today, both the private sector and state institution in Turkey have have intense contact with strangers. This interaction has become a part of life. This development has happened in Turkey in recent years, as it has happened in many countries. This development proves that translation is of great importance in our time. Therefore, some well-known universities in Turkey they established faculties within their own institution in order to train professional translators needed by the private and public sectors.

Years ago, I taught translation at the European Islamic University. I classified my notes accumulated in those days as a book project and published it in a short time. Thus, this book now in the hands of the reader has come into existence. Now I want to share this study with you. I hope it will be useful to those who are interested.
