جائزة الأوسكار لأفضل ممثل (معلومة)
جائزة الأوسكار لأفضل ممثل أو جائزة الأكاديمية لأفضل ممثل (بالإنجليزية: Academy Award for Best Actor) هي جائزة تمنحها سنوياً أكاديمية فنون وعلوم الصور المتحركة، وتهدف إلى لتكريم الممثل الذي يؤدي أداء إستثنائياً في دور البطولة لأحد الأفلام. مُنحت الجائزة لأول مرة في حفل الأكاديمية الأول والذي أقيم في عام 1929 وفاز بها أميل جانينجز لدوره في فيلم المهمة الأخيرة وفيلم طريق اللحم. يتم تحديد المرشحين حالياً عن طريق تصويت من قبل الأعضاء الممثلين في الأكاديمية.وفي عام 1937، تم حصر الترشيح إلى 5 مرشحين كل عام.
منذ بداية الجائزة، تم إهداؤها إلى 77 ممثل. يعد دانيال دي لويس أكثر الممثلين حصولاً على الجائزة في التصنيف بحصوله على ثلاث جوائز.
الفائزون والمرشحون
في الجداول التالية، السنوات مدرجة حسب اجتماعات الأكاديمية، وعامة هي موافقة لسنة إصدار الأفلام في مقاطعة لوس أنجلس، ويتم بدء الاحتفالات في السنة الموالية. وكانت فترة الانتخاب والتصويت ممتدة من 1 أغسطس إلى 32 يوليو لأول خمس حفلات. وأما حفل التوزيع السادس الذي عقد سنة 1934 امتدت فترة التصويت من 1 أغسطس 1932 إلى 32 ديسمبر 1933. ومنذ حفل التوزيع السابع الذي عقد 1935 أصبحت فترة التصويت سنة كاملة من 1 يناير إلى 31 ديسمبر.

- A^: Rules at the time of the first three ceremonies allowed for a performer to receive a single nomination which could honor their work in more than one film. جورج أرليس, موريس شيفالييه, and رونالد كولمان were all nominated for two different roles in the same category. Current Academy rules forbid this from happening. No official reason was ever given as to why Arliss won the award for only one of the two films he was listed for.
- B1 2 : فريدريك مارج received one more vote than والاس بيري. Academy rules at that time considered such a close margin to be a tie, so both March and Beery received the award. Under current Academy rules, however, dual awards are given only for exact ties.
- C^: بول ميوني"s performance in Black Fury was not nominated for an Oscar. For two years only, the Academy allowed a write-in vote. Technically, this meant that any performance was eligible for the award. The decision was made the previous year in response to the controversy surrounding بيت ديفيس"s failure to receive a nomination for عن عبودية الإنسان. Muni came 2nd in the vote, however, the Academy does not recognise Davis or Muni as nominees in these years.
