This desire has gushed out after more than half a century of serving his country Saudi Arabia, closely associated with its monarchs from the time of the late King Abdel Aziz (Founder and first monarch of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ), and witnessing the kingdom's transformation and progress. In two decades of writing, Sheikh Abdel Aziz has published seven books in Arabic embodying but a small portion of what is in his mind and affection. These works are characterized by a very distinctive style, which is a combination of philosophical visions and intellectual affective lamentations. Most of them are a constant grief at a very radiant time of a splendorous history that has been.
In this book, Reminiscences and Sentiments: An Affective Autobiography, Sheikh Abdel Aziz touches gently on his being and writes its autobiography, steering clear of details, personalism, and the account of roles or sensitive and momentous tasks. Rather, he follows the same intellectual course of previous works, devoting his attention to the essence.
Reminiscences and Sentiments is the first of Sheikh Abdel Aziz's complete works to be translated from Arabic into English.
