This laboratory book in its third edition represents the collection of the experiments designed for the premedical student taking the ZOO 145 course from the college of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and allied medical science. It composes from three major parts, the first part is about teaching the student how to handle and use the light microscopy with the cell biology and genetics. The second part, the student will do the dissection of the different system of rat (external feature and general viscera, the digestive system, the venous and arterial system, and the nervous system). The third part contains the histology of the different systems. We have taken every effort to make the manual very useful for the student and each of them will carry out all the experiments and he draws out his own conclusion and answer the question at the end of each practical. The authors are very grateful for the Scientific Council Board and the Press member at King Saud University for the high standard in referee and publishing this book.
