The economic integration among Arab countries has been a strategic goal aspired by many for decades. Achieving this integration not only enhances the competitiveness of the member states on the global stage but also contributes to economic and social stability, fostering sustainable development that benefits all the people in the region.
Today, the world is witnessing significant economic transformations and regional alliances that are redrawing the global economic map. From the European Union to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), global experiences demonstrate that economic integration can be an effective tool for achieving prosperity and development. This book aims to review these global experiences and compare them with the current situation in the Arab world to derive lessons learned and formulate hypotheses on the best ways to achieve Arab economic integration.
