إن من نعم الله على المؤمنين وجود علماء مسلمين مفسرين للقرآن ومبينين لأحكامه وأسباب ورود الآيات القرآنية في كل مسألة ليكون هدى للمسلمين ورحمة. وفي هذا الكتاب يقدم الخطيب الشيخ "منصور آل مرهون 1348هـ، كتاباً جامعاً وشاملاً في تفسير سور القرآن الكريم يشرح من خلاله آياته بالاعتماد على أمهات الكتب في التراث الإسلامي نذكر منها عوالي اللآتي في مستدرك وسائل الشيعة، تفسير أبي الفتوح الرازي، مجمع البيان الجامع لأحكام القرآن، الدر المنثور، التفسير المنسوب إلى الإمام الحسن العسكري الأمالي (الصدوق) من كتاب مجمع البيان وغيرها كثير.
أما محتويات الكتاب فتشمل على تفسير السور القرآنية ويبدأها، المؤلف بـ "سورة الفاتحة" وأسماءها المباركة ثم يعرج على خصائص البسملة وفي معنى "بسم"، معنى (الرحمن الرحيم) من البسملة، معنى (الحمد لله رب العالمين)... إلى آخر السورة. ثم يشرح لنا ما معنى العبودية وحتى تستحق العبادة وما هي ماهية العبادة والإخلاص فيها وأقسامها، وما معنى الصراط المستقيم وكيف يتم العبور على الصراط يوم القيامة! يتبع ذلك بتفسير "سورة الناس"، "سورة الفلق"، "سورة الإخلاص"، "سورة المسد"، "سورة النصر"، "سورة الكافرون"، "سورة الكوثر"، "سورة الماعون"، سورة قريش"، "سورة الفيل"، "سورة الهمزة"، "سورة العصر"، "سورة التكائر"، "سورة القارعة"، "سورة العاديات"، "سورة الزلزلة"، "سورة البينة"، "سورة القدر". هذا، ويتبع تفسير كل سورة من هذه السور شرحاً مفصلاً مدعماً بأحاديث لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وآل البيت، وهذه السور فيها الحكمة والموعظة الحسنة التي يسديها الشيخ "آل مرهرن" لقرائه والتي فيها الكثير من المتعة والفائدة والتشويق سهل وقريب إلى ذهن القارئ بعيداً عن التكلف والغموض.
ومن نفحات هذا الكتاب نقتبس ما جاء عن رسول الله صلة الله عليه وسلم في الأضحية: أنه قال: "استفرحوا ضحاياكم، فإنها مطاياكم على الصراط" وروي أيضاً أن يغفر لصاحبها بأول قطرة تقطر من دمها".
