الإسم محمد رجائي عطية عبده، اشتهر باسم رجائي عطية، ولد في شبين الكوم (مدينة تابعه لمحافظة المنوفية في مصر). حصل على ليسانس حقوق من جامعة القاهرة عام 1959. دبلوم العلوم العسكرية من الكلية الحربية عام 1961. عمل بالمحاماة (1959/ 1961) ثم بالقضاء العسكري في وظائفة المختلفة وبالمحاكم العسكرية من ( 1961/ 1976). عمل بالمحاماه مرة أخرى من 1976 . وقد اشترك في لجان الدفاع عن الحريات بنقابة المحامين والمنظما الإسم محمد رجائي عطية عبده، اشتهر باسم رجائي عطية، ولد في شبين الكوم (مدينة تابعه لمحافظة المنوفية في مصر). حصل على ليسانس حقوق من جامعة القاهرة عام 1959. دبلوم العلوم العسكرية من الكلية الحربية عام 1961. عمل بالمحاماة (1959/ 1961) ثم بالقضاء العسكري في وظائفة المختلفة وبالمحاكم العسكرية من ( 1961/ 1976). عمل بالمحاماه مرة أخرى من 1976 . وقد اشترك في لجان الدفاع عن الحريات بنقابة المحامين والمنظمات الدولية والاقليمية وفي العديد من المؤتمرات القانونية في مصر والخارج. له اهتمامات أدبية و ثقافية فمن البرامج الدورية التي كتبها للإذاعة منذ أوائل الستينات: " من هدي القران - من التراث العربي – في مثل هذا اليوم – الموسوعة الإسلامية – أضواء على الفكر العربي – معركة المصير " . كما كتب عدداً من السيناريوهات للأعمال الدرامية التي قدمت في التلفزيون مثل قصة رجل المال للأستاذ توفيق الحكيم و قصة إمرأة مسكينة للأستاذ يحيى حقي. كما كتب العديد من المقالات المختلفة والتي نشرت في العديد من المجلات والجرايد اليومية المصرية. واشترك قاضياً أو باحثاً بالقضاء العسكري في أشهر القضايا : اضطلع في المحاماه بالدفاع في أشهر قضايا العصر مثل قضية التكفير والهجرة (1977) خالد الاسلامبولي ( 1981/ 1982) قضية الجهاد ( 1982/ 1983) وزارة الصناعة (1986/ 1987) وغيرها.

عبر خمسين عاما فى المحاماة، وجدت فى أرشيفى من طعون النقض، وما أفرغته فيها من أسباب هى حصاد السنين، وخبرة العمر، والدأب الطويل.. رأيت أن لا أستأثر بها لنفسى، وأن أتيحها لزملائى وأبنائى قبل أن أفارق، آملاً أن يجدوا فيها ما يعينهم على ما نحمله جميعا فى رسالة المحاماة بقيمها النبيلة وعطائها السخى القائم على العلم والثقافة والجدية والذمة والإخلاص والوقار.
