هذه الحكايات موجودة عندى منذ زمن طويل.. بعضها كتبتها وانتهيت منها، وبعضها لم أنته منه، لكنى أبقيتها مدسوسة بين أوراقى وحقائبى أرجع إليها وإحساس بعدم الرضا يساورنى دائما بصددها، فأحجم عن نشرها أو حتى إعادة صياغتها إلى أن جاء صيف العام 1995، فقررت أن أحسم موقفى منها، بأن أنشرها بعد إعادة كتابتها او أعدمها وأتخلص منها نهائيا.. الغرض الأساسى التخلص منها بالنشر أو بالحرق.
وهكذا وجدتنى «أجلس عليها»، أبحث عن شيء فيها بنظرة ناقدة قاسية وشكاكة. أعدت بناء بعضها مثل « الغرباوية « وهى آخرها بالترتيب الزمنى، وتسبقها « صانعة المطر « وكنت قد أسميتها «حمام البنات» وهى فى الأصل عن البنتين الصديقتين والولدين الصديقين شقيقا البنتين، لكن عند استكمالى «الغرباوية» قررت إضافة شخصية المرأة الأخرى والجدة وأصبح اسم الحكاية «صانعة المطر».
«بائعة السمك وابنتها المدهشة»، بدأتها منذ حوالى عشر سنوات. يبقى تطابق الأسماء لشخصيتي المرأة الأجنبية فى «الغرباوية» و«صانعة المطر»، فاسم «روث» يأتى فى الحكايتين؛ رغم تباين العمر للمرأتين، لكن القارئ سيتبين أوجه تشابه وبعض التطابق فى الشخصيتين، كما سيكتشف أيضا بعض التطابق فى شخصيتي «المرأة الغرباوية» و«الحبوبة».
اسمي «تاج السر» فى «الغرباوية» و «تاج الملوك» وشقيقها «تاج السر» فى «صانعة المطر» ليس من قبيل الصدفة. تعمدت أن لا أسمي الغرباوية أو الحبوبة.
